Where to Stay |
Accommodation can be found (best to book in advance) at The Kilmartin Hotel which is a 19th century coaching hotel and for a long time a focus of the neighbouring community. It has 6 guest rooms, 4 of which are en-suite. I knew this hotel in the days when Jean Blandford was the owner, and there was always a welcome, a blazing fire in winter, impromptu music, and a great range of whiskies. The hotel seemed particularly atmospheric in the winter, when foresters and shepherds would come in out of the rain, and the community could draw close as they drank and laughed together.
